Exhibitions

Exhibitions in the Tohmajärvi area mainly happen in the summer. Wood Crafts can be found year round at the "Puun Sielu (Spirit of Wood) Exhibition" in Onkamo. The Library has a small, changing exhibition space and also at the "Käsityökeskus" (Craft Centre) in the town centre.

A Ceramics sales exhibition (Keramiikkamyyntinäyttely) is open by arrangement all year.

The "Spirit of Wood" Exhibition shows a number of different Artists and Woodworkers creations.

Summer opening: everyday from 12-19.00. Groups and tours by arrangement.
Entrance fee. Works for sale.

Pharmacist Nyman and his son, Major Nyman's family house. Now a pharmacy and house museum.
There is a changing exhibition of preserved utensils and everyday objects from ages past.

Open 30.6- 1.8.2010 Wednesdays to Sundays 11-17.00. Groups by arrangement.
Entrance fee: Adults: 2€. Children free. Groups: 1€ per person.
